Haribo has had to recall Happy Cola F!ZZ sweets in the Netherlands after potential cannabis contamination. Dutch media reported that several members of a family who had eaten these sweets became ill.

The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) said there are packs currently in circulation which might lead to health complains, including dizziness. Haribo have issued a recall of the product as a precaution, although ongoing investigation suggests there might only be three bags contaminated so far.

The product in question are 1kg bags of Haribo Happy Cola F!ZZ sweets with a best before date of January 2026.
