Frito Lay recalls snacks due to salmonella contamination

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency posted that Frito Lay initiated the recall of its snacks, including Sun Chips, because of a Salmonella contamination.
The following Frito Lay products were recalled:
- SunChips Multigrains Harvest Cheddar Snacks; All sizes; 2024 JL 16 to 2024 AU 13 inclusively
- Original Munchies Snack Mix; All sizes; 2024 JL 16 to 2024 AU 13 inclusively
- Variety Packs Cheesy Mix; 448 g; 2024 JL 16 2024 AU 13 inclusively
- SunChips Multigrains Harvest Cheddar Snacks; 32 packs; 2024 JL 16 to 2024 AU 13 inclusively
- SunChips Multigrains Harvest Cheddar Snacks; 40 packs; 2024 JL 16 to 2024 AU 13 inclusively
- Original Munchies Snack Mix; 40 packs; 2024 JL 16 to 2024 AU 13 inclusively
The products were distributed nationwide.
Customers are urged to throw away any of the listed products if they find them stored at their homes.
As the snacks have a long shelf life, consumers and retailers are encouraged to check the best-by dates on the packages.
