Common Concerns About Digitalisation (Presented at Food Sure Summit Amsterdam, June 2026)
Introducing digital technologies can bring many benefits, but it can also create concerns among employees. Some worry that automation may reduce the need for certain jobs, while others feel that current systems work well and do not need to be changed. There may also be concerns about increased monitoring of work activities and uncertainty about how new technologies will affect daily tasks.

In addition, not everyone feels comfortable using digital tools, especially when training is limited or language barriers exist. For digitalisation to be successful, organisations need to communicate clearly, provide practical training, and involve employees throughout the process. When people understand the benefits and feel supported, they are more likely to embrace change and contribute to a successful digital transformation.
