How do I start a discussion with the community?

To start a open discussion with other community members, click 'All discussions' in the left-hand navigation bar. This will take you to all active discussions and give you the option to start your own. Click 'Start a discussion'.
You will first have to choose which area of the site you want your discussion to sit in, based on the topic area or type of discussion. If you're not sure, don't worry - your discussion will still always be visible in the All discussions page. I'd advise choosing the noticeboard room for general topics.
You will then have to select which type of discussion you want to start:
- Ask a question
- Share an announcement
- Share a thought/idea which people can upvote
- Introduce yourself
You can then give your discussion a title and fill in the content before posting. You can always go in and edit the discussion after it is live if you want to amend something.
